Comic Con Cape Town 2026: A Celebration of Fandom Culture Comes Alive

Cape Town is gearing up for one of the most exciting pop culture events of 2026 as Comic Con Cape Town returns for its fourth spectacular edition. Running from 30 April to 3 May 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC 2), this four-day festival promises something for fans of comics, gaming, cosplay, tabletop adventures and more.

Marie Fredriksson - Dead at 61

Songbird and voice of Roxette, Marie Fredriksson has passed away at the age of 61. The swedish pop star had been fighting a lengthy battle with brain cancer since being diagnosed on 13 September, 2002, after a fall at her home. Best known as the big voice of swedish pop act Roxette, Fredriksson finally succumbed to the disease on the Monday morning.
